The Swedish government has updated the decree on tobacco and similar products (2019:223).

Starting from October 28, 2025, the payment fee levels for each brand and type update are as follows:

01 Electronic cigarettes and supplementary containers

Product announcement fee or substantial modification announcement fee: 2400 Swedish kronor

The official content of the law update decision is excerpted as follows:

 

02 Tobacco products

1. Cigarettes: 2400 Swedish kronor per cigarette;

2. Homemade tobacco: 2400 Swedish kronor per roll;

3. Oral tobacco: 2.300 Swedish kronor per piece;

The cost of non cigarettes, rolled tobacco, and oral tobacco products is 2300 Swedish kronor.

Annual cost of tobacco products

1. Tobacco products: 4500 Swedish kronor per stick;

2. Self rolled tobacco and heated tobacco products: 3700 Swedish kronor per tube;

3. Oral tobacco products: 1800 Swedish kronor per piece;

4. Tobacco products not belonging to items 1 to 3: 1500 Swedish kronor per piece.
