environmental test

This test is used to determine the ability of components, equipment, or other products to withstand environmental temperature changes

Objective of the experiment

The purpose of this experiment is to test the tolerance of components, equipment, or other products under environmental temperature changes through environmental testing, and evaluate whether their functional status meets design requirements. Through experiments, verify the stability and reliability of the product in temperature changing environments, ensuring its normal operation in practical applications.

Experimental Background

In practical applications, products may experience various environmental temperature changes, such as:

High temperature environment: such as outdoors in summer and inside industrial equipment.

Low temperature environment: such as outdoors in winter and inside refrigeration equipment.

Temperature cycle: such as temperature changes caused by day night temperature difference and equipment start stop.

These temperature changes may lead to a decrease in product performance or functional failure, therefore it is necessary to test the performance of the product under temperature change conditions.

Experimental equipment

High and low temperature test chamber: used to simulate high temperature, low temperature, and temperature cycling environments.

Temperature sensor: monitors the temperature inside the test chamber.

Data acquisition system: records temperature data and the working status of the product.

DUT: The component, equipment, or other product that needs to be tested.

Load simulator (optional): Simulate the load situation of the product in actual operation.

Measurement tools: such as multimeters and oscilloscopes, used to monitor the electrical performance of products.

Experimental Procedure

Preparation work:

Check the product under test to ensure it is in good condition.

Record the initial state and performance parameters of the product.

Device settings:

Place the test product into the high and low temperature test chamber.

Install a temperature sensor to ensure it can accurately measure the temperature inside the test chamber.

Set up a data collection system to record temperature data and the working status of the product.

High temperature test:

Set the temperature of the high and low temperature test chamber to high temperature (such as 70 ℃, 85 ℃).

Maintain high temperature for a period of time (such as 2 hours, 4 hours).

Record temperature data under high temperature conditions and the working status of the product.

Observe whether there are any abnormalities in the product, such as functional failure, performance degradation, etc.

Low temperature test:

Set the temperature of the high and low temperature test chamber to low temperature (such as -20 ℃, -40 ℃).

Maintain low temperature for a period of time (such as 2 hours, 4 hours).

Record temperature data under low temperature conditions and the working status of the product.

Observe whether there are any abnormalities in the product, such as functional failure, performance degradation, etc.

Temperature cycling test:

Set the temperature cycling conditions for the high and low temperature test chamber (such as -40 ℃ to 85 ℃, with 5 or 10 cycles).

Maintain each temperature stage for a certain period of time (such as 30 minutes, 1 hour).

Record temperature data and product operating status under temperature cycling conditions.

Observe whether there are any abnormalities in the product, such as functional failure, performance degradation, etc.

Functional status verification:

After high temperature, low temperature, and temperature cycling tests, check whether the product can work properly.

Record the functional status of the product after temperature changes.

Data analysis:

Compare test data under different temperature conditions and analyze the performance of the product.

Evaluate whether the temperature tolerance of the product meets the design requirements.

Experimental precautions

safety first:

High and low temperature tests may cause damage to the product, and protective measures should be taken.

Ensure good ventilation in the experimental environment to avoid equipment overheating and causing fires.

Gradually adjust parameters:

When adjusting the temperature, it should be gradually adjusted to avoid instantaneous high or low temperature damage to the product.

Real-time monitoring

Real time monitoring of temperature data and product status is required during the experimental process to promptly detect any abnormalities.

Load simulation (optional):

If you need to test the performance of the product in actual work, you can use a load simulator to simulate actual loads.

Experimental results and conclusions

Experimental results:

Record the performance of the product under different temperature conditions, including functional status, performance changes, etc.

Record the temperature data during the temperature change process and the working status of the product.

Conclusion:

Evaluate the product's tolerance to temperature changes and confirm whether it meets the design requirements.

If the product has abnormal functions, analyze the reasons and propose improvement suggestions.

If the product has effective temperature tolerance, confirm that it meets the design requirements.

experiment report

The experimental report should include the following contents:

Experimental objective: Briefly describe the objectives of the experiment.

Experimental equipment: List all the equipment used and their specifications.

Experimental steps: Detailed description of the experimental operation process.

Experimental data: Record all test data, including charts and waveforms.

Data analysis: Analyze experimental data to draw conclusions.

Conclusion and Suggestions: Summarize the experimental results and propose improvement suggestions.
