Vibration (using lamps in harsh environments)

Test the seismic structure of the sample, such as whether the creepage distance is reduced and whether the fixing device is loose after adverse conditions

Vibration testing is a key step in evaluating the seismic performance of lighting fixtures in harsh environments, especially after adverse conditions, to ensure that the creepage distance of the fixtures is not reduced and the fixing devices are not loose. The following are the testing steps and evaluation points:

1. Test preparation
Sample selection: Select representative lamp samples for testing.

Testing equipment: Use a vibration test bench to simulate the vibration conditions in actual use.

2. Testing conditions
Vibration frequency: Set the vibration frequency range according to the usage environment, usually from 10Hz to 55Hz.

Vibration amplitude: Set an appropriate vibration amplitude to simulate the vibration intensity in actual use.

Testing time: Set the testing time according to standard requirements or actual usage, usually ranging from several hours to tens of hours.

3. Testing steps
Initial inspection: Before testing, check the creepage distance of the lighting fixtures and the status of the fixing devices, and record the initial data.

Vibration testing: Fix the lamp on the vibration testing table and conduct vibration testing according to the set conditions.

Intermediate inspection: Regularly check the status of the lighting fixtures during the testing process, record changes in creepage distance and fixing devices.

4. Post test evaluation
Creepage distance: Measure the creepage distance of the lamp after testing to ensure that it has not shrunk below the safety standard.

Fixed device: Check whether the fixed device is loose or damaged, ensuring that it can still firmly fix the lamp.

Appearance inspection: Check the appearance of the lamp for cracks, deformations, or other damages.

5. Data analysis
Data recording: Detailed recording of all data during the testing process, including vibration parameters, inspection results, etc.

Data analysis: Analyze data, evaluate the seismic performance of lighting fixtures, and identify potential issues.

6. Improvement measures
Design optimization: Optimize the lighting design based on test results to improve seismic performance.

Material selection: Choose more shock resistant materials to enhance the durability of the lighting fixtures.

Fixed method improvement: Improve the design and installation of the fixed device to ensure its firmness and reliability.

7. Compliant with standards
International standards: Ensure that testing methods and evaluation criteria comply with relevant international standards, such as IEC 60598.

Through the above steps, the seismic performance of the lighting fixture can be comprehensively evaluated in harsh environments, ensuring that it can still work safely and reliably even in adverse conditions.
