Kitchen appliance testing

Various kitchen appliances. For example: electric stove, integrated environmentally friendly stove, microwave oven, microcrystalline stove, electromagnetic stove, rice cooker, electric oven, toaster (toaster), electric steamer, electric fryer, electric hot pot, electric stove, electric lunch box, electric pressure cooker

The testing content of kitchen appliances usually covers multiple aspects such as electrical safety, performance, energy efficiency, durability, and user experience. The following are testing items and contents for common kitchen appliances such as electric stoves, integrated environmentally friendly stoves, microwave ovens, microcrystalline stoves, induction cookers, rice cookers, electric ovens, toasters (toasters), electric steamers, electric fryers, electric hot pots, electric cookers, electric lunch boxes, and electric pressure cookers:

1. Electrical safety testing

Insulation resistance test: Test the insulation performance of electrical appliances to ensure no risk of leakage.

Voltage withstand test: Verify the insulation strength of electrical appliances under high voltage.

Grounding resistance test: Ensure the effectiveness of the grounding system and prevent electric shock.

Leakage current test: to detect the leakage situation of electrical appliances during normal operation.

Temperature rise test: Evaluate the temperature rise of electrical appliances during long-term use to prevent overheating.

2. Performance testing

Heating performance test:

Electric stove, electromagnetic stove, microcrystalline stove: detect heating speed and temperature uniformity.

Microwave oven: detects heating uniformity and thawing effect.

Electric rice cooker and electric pressure cooker: detect cooking time and rice taste.

Electric ovens and toasters: detect baking uniformity and temperature control accuracy.

Electric steaming furnace: detects the steam generation rate and steaming effect.

Electric fryer, electric hotpot, electric hot pot: temperature control and heating efficiency detection.

Power test: Measure the actual power of electrical appliances to ensure compliance with nominal values.

Energy efficiency testing: Evaluate the energy efficiency level of electrical appliances to ensure compliance with energy-saving standards.

Temperature control test: Check the accuracy and stability of temperature regulation function.

3. Functional testing

Basic functional testing: Verify whether the various functions of the electrical appliance are normal (such as heating, timing, insulation, etc.).

Timing function test: Check whether the timing on/off, timing operation and other functions are accurate.

Intelligent function testing (if applicable): Check whether the functions of intelligent control, remote control, etc. are normal.

Security protection function test:

Overheating protection: detects whether the electrical appliance automatically shuts off when overheated.

Dry burning protection: Check whether electric rice cookers, electric cookers, etc. automatically turn off when there is no water.

Pressure protection: Check whether the electric pressure cooker automatically releases pressure in case of overpressure.

4. Durability testing

Life test: Simulate long-term use to evaluate the durability of electrical appliances.

Switch frequency test: Test the durability of components such as switches and buttons.

Load test: Run for a long time under rated load to check the stability of the electrical appliance.

Material durability testing: testing the wear and corrosion resistance of materials such as shells and inner liners.

5. User experience testing

Convenience Test: Evaluate the ease of user operation.

Human computer interaction test: Check whether the interactive functions of the display screen, buttons, knobs, etc. are friendly.

Noise test: Measure the noise level of electrical appliances during operation to ensure it is within a reasonable range.

Cleaning Convenience Test: Evaluate the ease of cleaning electrical appliances (such as removable components, anti stick coatings, etc.).

6. Environmental adaptability testing

High and low temperature testing: Simulate different environmental temperatures to test the working stability of electrical appliances.

Humidity testing: Evaluating the performance of electrical appliances in high humidity environments.

Vibration and drop testing: Simulate vibration and drop during transportation or use to check the impact resistance of electrical appliances.

7. Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing

Electromagnetic interference (EMI) testing: Ensure that electrical appliances do not cause electromagnetic interference to other devices.

Anti interference (EMS) testing: Verify the normal working ability of electrical appliances in electromagnetic interference environments.

8. Material and structural testing

Material safety testing: Testing whether the materials used by electrical appliances in contact with food comply with food safety standards (such as food grade stainless steel, coatings, etc.).

Structural strength testing: Evaluate the mechanical strength of components such as shells and brackets.

Waterproof and dustproof testing: Conduct level testing (such as IPX level) on products with waterproof function.

9. Certification Projects

China Compulsory Certification (CCC): Kitchen appliances sold in the Chinese market need to pass CCC certification.

CE certification: Entry into the EU market requires compliance with CE certification requirements, including the Low Voltage Directive (LVD) and the Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive (EMC).

FCC certification: Entry into the US market requires FCC certification to ensure compliance with electromagnetic compatibility requirements.

RoHS certification: Testing whether products comply with hazardous substance restriction directives (such as lead, mercury, cadmium, etc.).

PSE certification: To enter the Japanese market, PSE certification (circular or diamond logo) is required.

KC certification: To enter the Korean market, KC certification is required.

CB certification: International certification based on IEC standards, which can help products enter multiple international markets.

10. Label and instruction manual inspection

Label compliance: Ensure that product label content complies with regulatory requirements of the target market (such as voltage, power, model, etc.).

Manual inspection: Verify whether the content of the manual is clear and accurate, including instructions for use, precautions, warning messages, etc.

11. Special testing (for specific products)

Microwave leakage test of microwave oven: Check whether the amount of microwave leakage meets safety standards.

Pressure testing of electric pressure cookers: testing the pressure resistance performance and safety valve function of pressure vessels.

Magnetic field test of electromagnetic stove: Check whether the magnetic field strength meets the safety range.

Test the popping function of the toaster: check if the bread popping function is normal.

Through the above testing and certification, it can be ensured that kitchen appliances meet relevant standards in terms of safety, performance, durability, user experience, etc., ensuring the safety and satisfaction of consumers' use.
