Since the opening of Wi Fi 6E by NCC in August 2023, NCC has been revising and improving the technical requirements for Wi Fi 6E. Finally, on February 6, 2024, the LP0002 113 version of the Low Power RF Equipment Technical Specification was released, mainly updating Chapter 5.13 of Wi Fi 6E, while the content of other chapters remained unchanged.
The LP0002 113 version has mainly updated and added section 5.13, which points out that the operating frequency band of 6 GHz wireless access systems including Radio Local Area Network (WAS/RLAN) devices is 5.945 GHz to 6.425 GHz. Consistent with CE, NCC did not open the regular Wi Fi 6E Band 5-band from 5925 MHz to 6425 MHz, but instead shrunk in the low-frequency band by 20 MHz (5925 MHz → 5945 MHz).
LP0002 version 113 provides the following 6 GHz WAS/RLAN device categories and subcategories (consistent with CE):

Equipment category subcategory applicability

14 dBm

10 dBm/MHz

Note: LPI and VLP not only have differences in Power and PSD limits, but also have differences in the limits for out of band unnecessary emissions (i.e. 00B in EN 303 687), and VLP equipment will be more stringent. And LPI devices also have more restrictions than VLP in terms of device limitations, such as LPI AP and Bridge devices can only be powered by wired power and cannot be replaced with antennas.

To apply for LP0002 version 113 certification, the following items need to be executed:

In early January 2024, NCC issued a statement stating that there are two methods for applying for the Wi Fi 6E (5945 MHz to 6425 MHz) frequency band, and provided a transition period.

LP0002

Buffer regulations Before December 31, 2024
(Final acceptance date for version 109)
Starting from January 1, 2025, only the 113 year version of the standard can be accepted

Wi-Fi 6E(5945 MHz~6425 MHz)

Buffer regulations Before June 30, 2024
(According to EN 303 687 NCC last receipt date)
Starting from July 1, 2024, only LPO002 application verification is allowed
Delivery unit Regulatory Authority (NCC) NCC Commissioned Verification Body (RCB)
notes The delivery method adopts a two-stage delivery method
The competent authority will periodically open the submission hierarchy
At present, only three cases of RCB submissions are accepted in the first tier NCC
RCB is only eligible for review before accepting applications for review
