Definition:
Vibration is an oscillation phenomenon of the amount of motion (displacement, velocity, and acceleration) in a mechanical system.
Test purpose:
Simulate a series of vibration phenomena, test whether the product can withstand the vibration environment during transportation or use during its life cycle, and also determine the required standards for product design and functionality. The essence of vibration testing is to confirm the reliability of the product, screen out defective products in advance before leaving the factory, and evaluate the failure analysis of the defective products to make them a high-level and highly reliable product.

Test classification
√ According to the type of vibration: sinusoidal vibration, random vibration;
√ According to temperature control: ordinary vibration, three comprehensive vibrations (temperature, humidity, vibration).
The difference between sinusoidal vibration and random vibration
√ Random vibration Throughout the entire test, the frequency, acceleration, and amplitude at each moment are random;
During the entire test, the frequency, acceleration, and amplitude of sinusoidal vibration are determined at each moment;

Explanation of vibration terms
√ Frequency: The number of vibrations per second, in Hz.
√ Frequency range: A frequency scanning range provided by a standard or customer, such as 2-500Hz.
√ Acceleration: usually in units of gn or m/s2, 1gn=9.8m/s2
√ Amplitude (displacement): Peak peak of vibration, usually measured in millimeters
√ Cross over frequency: The frequency at which one vibration characteristic quantity changes to another in vibration testing. The frequency at which the crossover frequency changes from an equal displacement frequency relationship to an equal acceleration frequency relationship.
√ Sweep rate: refers to the rate of scanning from the lowest frequency to the highest frequency, such as 1oct/min: 1 octave/min
Example: 1 oct/min, 1 minute from 5Hz to 10Hz, and 1 minute from 10Hz to 20Hz
√ Power spectral density (PSD): The energy distribution per unit frequency, in g2/Hz.
Root Mean Square Value (RMS): Square root of the area enclosed by the curve
√ Resonance search: Generally, there are various parts on a product, and each part has its own different resonance frequency. At the same time, due to different shapes, weights, and fixing methods, different resonance frequencies and amplification rates will be generated when vibration occurs. Therefore, it is necessary to search for the resonance characteristics of specific components, and then perform resonance point vibration tests based on their characteristics.
Example of complete sinusoidal vibration conditions
Including frequency range, acceleration or amplitude, sweep rate, testing time or number of cycles, testing axis, etc;

The frequency sweep rate is 1oct/min, and the testing time is 2H/axis * 3-axis (X-axis, Y-axis, Z-axis)
Example of complete random vibration conditions
Including frequency range, acceleration spectral density or power spectral density, slope, testing time, testing axis, etc;

The testing time is 2H/axis * 3 axis (X-axis, Y-axis, Z-axis)
