The Department of Energy Utilization Management Bureau (DOE-EUMB) of the Philippines announced on August 24, 2026, the launch of Product Marketing Claim Verification Testing under the Philippine Energy Labeling Program (PELP).


 

Product validation testing will begin in January 2027, involving six products including lighting products, televisions, refrigeration appliances, air conditioners, washing machines, and electric fans.


 

The Department of Energy (DOE) of the Philippines will conduct sample labeling work through its designated Department of Energy Monitoring Team (DMT) in accordance with applicable PELP implementation guidelines. Please ensure that all PELP registration applicants continue to comply with PELP related requirements to facilitate sample labeling work. (Sample marking: an official term of DOE-EUMB in the Philippines, referring to the sealing and labeling registration of samples during market sampling)
