According to the latest update on the EU website, on December 10, 2024, the EU abandoned the proposal to add tetrabromobisphenol A (TBBP-A) and medium chain chlorinated paraffins (MCCPs) to RoHS. This indicates that the EU's plan to increase the number of RoHS restricted substances from 10 to 12 has not been achieved.

LCS suggestion:

Electronic and electrical equipment manufacturers may temporarily not need to make corresponding compliance adjustments for these two substances, but the EU has stated that feedback from stakeholders can still be used for future reference. Therefore, companies still need to continue to pay attention to the subsequent updates and changes of the EU RoHS directive to ensure product compliance.
