Compared with BS EN 61000-4-6:2014, the differences are as follows:

First, the principle of injection method selection is modified; Deleted the requirement of checking the impedance of AE terminal before using clamp injection method.

The 2014 version is as follows:

The 2023 version is as follows:

As can be seen from the above two pictures, there will be the following differences in the absence of suitable CDN selection:

—— For shielded wire, when it is not suitable for EM clamp test, you can choose direct injection or current clamp injection, which is more than the old version.

—— For the shielded wire, when it is suitable for EM clamp test, the new version can be tested with EM clamp, and the old version needs to test whether the AE terminal meets the system impedance of 150Ω, and then decide to use the test method of EM clamp or current clamp injection;

—— For unshielded wires, the new version chooses to use EM clamp or current clamp injection;; In the old version, it is necessary to test whether the AE terminal meets the system impedance of 150Ω, and then decide to use the specific test method of EM clamp or current clamp.

2. Updated the method for checking the saturation of the amplifier. In the conducted anti-interference test, the amplifier needs to be tested in an unsaturated state. The 2023 version of the standard has systematically updated the method for confirming the saturation, as follows:

1. In all used coupling devices, determine the highest forward power P formax required in the level setting process of each frequency step.

2. Repeat the following steps for each frequency:

A. set the output level of the power amplifier as P formax;;

B, increasing the control level of the RF signal generator by 5.1 dB;;

C, recording new forward power P formax, inc;;

D if the difference of P formax, inc -P formax is between 3.1 dB and 7.1 dB for all frequency steps, the amplifier is within the tolerance range and the test system is sufficient to test at the selected test level. If the difference is less than 3.1 dB or more than 7.1 dB, the amplifier is nonlinear and not suitable for testing.

III. Annex H is changed to: Multi-signal test.
The application of multi-signal testing is added to shorten the testing time of products that need multi-signal testing. However, if multiple signals are tested together and the test result is still FAIL, the result of single signal test will prevail in the end.
