  On May 21st, 2024, the European Commission issued Directive (EU)2024/1416, which updated the validity period of the exemption clause of Article 39(a) "Cadmium selenide (display area cadmium < 0.2 ug/mm2) used for reducing cadmium-based semiconductor nanocrystalline quantum dots in display lighting equipment" in Annex III of EU RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU, and added Article 39 (.
