The Saudi Standards, Metrology, and Quality Organization (SASO) has issued a reminder regarding the application or update of "energy efficiency labels", as follows:
1. Starting from June 30, 2023, energy efficiency applications can only be submitted through the accounts of manufacturers or importers.
2. The SASO Energy Efficiency Labeling Department continues to accept applications for transferring "energy efficiency labels" from third-party accounts to manufacturer accounts.
3. The addition of suppliers is limited to the manufacturer's account.
4. Transfer of the application to the supplier account is only allowed in the following circumstances:
If the supplier is a brand holder and there are no other importers in the supply chain.
If the manufacturer does not activate the account, the supplier can submit an application on behalf of the manufacturer and obtain the manufacturer's declaration and authorization.
Note: Starting from January 1, 2024, all accounts that do not belong to the manufacturer or importer will be deleted.
Energy efficiency label transfer method:
1. Transfer requests must be sent via email using the manufacturer/importer domain name to Labels.eff@saso.gov.sa .
2. Provide an official statement from the manufacturer/importer mentioning the current new account email address.
3. If the new account is an importer account, Saudi Arabia needs the manufacturer to provide proof that the importer account is their only exclusive importer.
4. Fill out the following Excel spreadsheet: "There is only one old mailbox. If you have multiple old mailboxes, you should make separate transfer mailbox requests for each old mailbox.

5. Send the transfer request to the Saudi Energy Efficiency email, ensuring that the current owner's email is included and requesting them to confirm the transfer request in the same email.
