Vietnam MIC


 


 

Definition:

The MIC certification in Vietnam is a mandatory certification requirement by the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) for electromagnetic interference in information technology equipment and communication devices.


 

Control scope:

This certification is applicable to various telecommunication and information technology products, including but not limited to wireless communication equipment, telecommunication terminal equipment, Internet equipment, telecommunication equipment accessories, radio equipment and other related equipment.

For devices that only support Bluetooth and have a power below 60mW, MIC application is exempted;

For devices that only support 2.4G WIFI and have a power below 60mW, there is no need to apply for MIC.


 

Certification requirement: Samples need to be sent for local testing

Cycle (after complete documentation and local receipt of samples): 6-8 weeks

Certificate validity period: 3 years


 

Certification process:

Preparation of samples and materials - Domestic pre testing - Sending samples for local testing - Submission - Review and approval - Certificate issuance


 


 


 

Thailand NBTC


 

Definition:

The NBTC certification in Thailand is a mandatory certification system implemented by the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission to ensure the legal sale and use of wireless communication equipment in the Thai market.


 

Control scope:

Including but not limited to: wireless local area network (Wi Fi) devices, Bluetooth devices, wireless transmission devices, satellite communication devices, RFID devices, IoT (Internet of Things) devices, GPS tracking devices, wireless cameras, etc.


 

Certification requirements:

CE RED report/FCC report (requires report+ID certificate) conversion (single model certification, one certificate for one model)


 

Certificate classification:

NBTC SDOC - Bluetooth, WiFi, LORA (non RFID), NFC, etc

NBTC ClassA - Microphone, Car Radar, IoT (Non RFID), RFID Devices, Electronic Tags, Drone Radar

NBTC ClassB - Wireless Communication Cellular Mobile Devices, Radio Broadcasts, etc


 

Application cycle:

NBTC SDOC -1-2 weeks (period starts from the completion and submission of all documents)

NBTC class A -4-8 weeks (starting from the completion and submission of all documents)

NBTC class B -4-8 weeks (starting from the completion and submission of all documents)


 

Certificate Validity Period:

Unlimited requirement (valid for a long time throughout the product lifecycle)

Definition:

SIRIM certification is one of the most important product certifications in Malaysia. This certification is a mandatory certification service provided by SIRIM QAS International, a Malaysian standards and industrial research organization, aimed at ensuring that products comply with Malaysia's safety, quality, and technical standards.


 

Control scope:

This certification is applicable to various telecommunication and information technology products, including but not limited to wireless communication equipment, telecommunication terminal equipment, Internet equipment, telecommunication equipment accessories, radio equipment and other related equipment.


 

Certification requirements:

CE report conversion (single model certification, one certificate for one model)

For devices that support communication functions, a normal prototype should be provided


 

Local testing and certification conversion cycle (complete documentation and official submission): 5-6 weeks (postponed in case of local holidays)

Certificate validity period: 5 years

Definition:

IMDA certification is a mandatory certification issued by the Infocomm Media Development Authority of Singapore for wireless telecommunications products, aimed at ensuring that wireless telecommunications products sold or used in Singapore comply with local regulations and technical standards.


 

Control scope:

This certification applies to all wireless and telecommunications products, including Bluetooth, WiFi, GSM, and other wireless products


 

Certification requirements: CE report conversion (single model certification, one certificate for one model)


 

Certification classification:

ESER - SRD/LPD devices,

DECT cordless phone, car receiver, etc

SER - Mobile Terminals, Broadband Access Devices GER - IoT Base Stations, UWB, etc

GER-CB - only applicable to IMDA accredited certification bodies for registering all types of equipment COFC - exempted devices (such as fax transceivers)


 

Conversion period (complete documents and official submission): 2-3 weeks (postponed in case of local holidays)

Definition:

The NTC certification in the Philippines is a mandatory certification for wireless telecommunications products entering the Philippine market, implemented by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC), aimed at ensuring that communication equipment complies with Philippine regulations and technical standards, and guaranteeing equipment quality and safety. Only certified wireless products can be sold in the Philippines.


 

Control scope:

Suitable for all types of RF equipment, telecommunications equipment, and ICT equipment, such as mobile phones, tablets, network devices, etc


 

Certification requirements: CE report conversion (single model certification, one certificate for one model)


 

Certification classification:

RCE - Suitable for low-power/short-range wireless devices such as WLAN/BT/NFC, etc

CPE is suitable for wireless devices with communication functions, GSM/CDMA/LTE/3G/4G

GEC - Suitable for wireless devices that have both the first two types of functions, such as mobile phones with WIFI, BT, etc

Definition:

Indonesia DJID certification, renamed from SDPPI. Before 2025, Indonesia's SDPPI certification is a certification issued by a subsidiary of the Indonesian Ministry of Information and Communications (KOMINFO), which specifies the necessary conditions for the use and sale of radio and telecommunications equipment in Indonesia.


 

Control scope:

It covers wireless transmission/reception devices, Bluetooth and WLAN devices, wireless microphones, and more.


 

Certification requirements:

Indonesia accredited laboratory CE report conversion (one certificate for one model); Send samples for local testing (one certificate, one model)


 

Conversion period (complete documents and official submission): 1-2 weeks (postponed in case of local holidays)

Sending samples for local testing (with complete documentation and samples arriving locally): 4-6 weeks (postponed in case of local holidays)

Control scope:

Certification classification: Category 1 products - such as general mobile communication devices, radios, etc. Category 2 products - such as SRD products

Control scope:

Suitable for all wireless and telecommunications products, including Bluetooth, WiFi, GSM and other wireless products

Definition:

The Mongolian Communication Law and Radio Law require that radio and communication equipment sold in Mongolia must meet corresponding technical requirements. The Mongolian Communications Regulatory Commission (CRC) is the designated regulatory body.


 

Control scope:

Please refer to the "List of Products and Services Subject to Mandatory Qualification Assurance", which is Resolution No. 291 issued by the Mongolian government in 2018. The wireless products included in this list mainly include mobile phones, radars, wireless remote controls, radios, etc.


 

Certification requirement: CE report transfer certificate

Definition:

The Nepal NTA certification is a market access certification issued by the Nepal Telecommunications Authority in India.


 

Control scope:

Suitable for telecommunications and wireless products entering Nepal, mainly involving electronic products such as mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, charging devices, etc.


 

Certification requirement: CE report transfer certificate

Cycle (starting from the date of submission of complete information, postponed in case of local holidays): 6-8 weeks


 

Certificate Validity Period:

The validity period of the temporary certificate applied for the first time is 6 months. The validity period of the certificate applied for renewal 15 days before the expiration of the temporary certificate is 5 years, provided that the product has been imported and sold during the 6-month validity period of the temporary certificate. If not, NTA will only extend the validity period of the renewal by 6 months

Definition:

Pakistan PTA certification is a mandatory certification issued by the Pakistan Telecommunications Authority, applicable to all wireless and telecommunications equipment imported into Pakistan, such as mobile phones, wireless LAN devices, and cellular mobile communication devices


 

Control scope:

Applicable to all wireless and telecommunications equipment imported into Pakistan, such as mobile phones, wireless LAN devices, cellular mobile communication devices


 

Certification requirements:

CE report transfer certificate, in addition, one normal prototype needs to be sent to the local area for functional testing

Definition:

The Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRCSL) was established under the Sri Lanka Telecommunications (Amendment) Act No. 27 of 1996. TRCSL radio type approval is mandatory for the commercialization of telecommunications and radio equipment in Sri Lanka. Approved for regulation by the Sri Lanka Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRCSL), a national agency.


 

Control scope:

Wireless and telecommunications terminal products that need to be imported, sold, manufactured, or used in Sri Lanka must obtain type certification before import, operation, or sale, involving terminal equipment categories such as telephones, mobile phones, fax machines, PABX automatic switches, modems, routers, laptops, and any other equipment that can be linked to licensed networks.
