The latest IEC standard for fabric steam hanging ironing machines, version 3.1: IEC 60335-2-85:2022+A1:2025, was released in October 2025. Manufacturers need to pay close attention to the precautions of the new version.

Chapter 3.6 has added 3.6.101 and 3.6.102 to clarify the definitions of thermal functional surfaces and adjacent surfaces.

 


 

Chapter 8.1.1 has added the application requirements for the 19th test finger of IEC 61032, simulating the test finger of infants and young children aged 36 months and below to evaluate their touch behavior.

In addition to using test finger 18, test finger 19 should also be used.

 

Chapter 11 has added requirements for surface temperature rise.
