From April 2024 to May 2024, the EU Rapid Warning System for Non Food Consumer Goods (RAPEX) reported multiple violations of EU RoHS directives and REACH regulations, mainly involving restrictions on lead, di (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), dibutyl phthalate (DBP), and short chain chlorinated paraffin (SCCP).
The relevant notification cases are as follows:
1. Flashlight

Reason for recall: Environmental
The lead content in the solder in the product exceeds the standard (with a measured value of up to 38% by weight). The product does not meet the requirements of RoHS 2.0 directive

The lead and DEHP content in plastic cables in the product exceeds the standard (measured values are as high as 0.32% and 4.8% by weight, respectively). The lead content in the solder in the product exceeds the standard (with a measured value of 62.9% by weight). It also contains SCCP that exceeds the standard (with a measured value of up to 6.6% by weight). The product does not meet the requirements of RoHS 2.0 directive and persistent organic pollutant regulations
