From February 2024 to March 2024, the EU Rapid Warning System for Non Food Consumer Goods (RAPEX) reported multiple violations of EU RoHS directives and POPs regulations, mainly involving restrictions on lead, di (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), dibutyl phthalate (DBP), short chain chlorinated paraffin (SCCP), and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE).
The relevant notification cases are as follows:
1. Toy car
Origin: China
Reason for recall: Environmental
The lead concentration in the product is too high (measured at 72.4% by weight). Not in compliance with the requirements of the EU RoHS 2.0 Directive

2. Toy remote control
Origin: China
Reason for recall: Environmental
The lead concentration of this product is too high (measured as 51.3% by weight), which does not meet the requirements of the EU RoHS 2.0 directive

The lead concentration in the product is too high (measured as high as 67.54% by weight), which does not comply with the requirements of the EU RoHS 2.0 directive

The lead concentration in the solder in the product is too high. (Measurement value up to 72% by weight), does not meet the requirements of the EU RoHS 2.0 directive

Reason for recall: Environmental chemical category
The lead concentration in the solder in the product is too high. The measured value is as high as 63% by weight. The concentrations of lead, bis (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), dibutyl phthalate (DBP), and short chain chlorinated paraffin (SCCP) in the plastic materials of cables are too high (measured values are as high as 0.22%, 2.6%, 1.1%, and 5.5% by weight, respectively). Not in compliance with EU RoHS 2.0 directive and POPs regulations

The lead concentration in the solder in the product is too high (measured at 60.8% by weight). The plastic material of the cable contains a high concentration of bis (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) (measured at 8.3% by weight), which does not comply with the requirements of the EU RoHS 2.0 directive

The lead concentration in the solder in the product is too high (measured as high as 69.6% by weight). The concentration of di (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), dibutyl phthalate (DBP), and short chain chlorinated terephthalate (SCCP) in the plastic materials of cables is too high (measured values are as high as 0.3%, 0.29%, and 0.32% by weight, respectively), which does not comply with the requirements of the EU RoHS 2.0 directive and POPs regulations
