Additional information:
Basic process for determining SVHC substances:

SVHCs stands for Substances of Very High Concern, which refers to substances that may have serious and often irreversible effects on human health and the environment. If a substance is identified as SVHC, it will be added to the candidate list and ultimately included in the authorization list (ANNEX XIV to REACH).
LCS Recommendations (Tips):
ECHA aims to protect human health and the environment, is committed to the safe use of chemicals, and encourages the industry to develop safer alternatives. ECHA also shoulders the mission of enhancing the competitiveness of European chemicals, constantly urging enterprises to comply with relevant regulatory requirements and fulfill their regulatory obligations.
According to REACH regulations, when the SVHC content in goods supplied on the EU market exceeds 0.1% by weight (w/w), information must be transmitted within the supply chain; When the SVHC content in an item exceeds 0.1% by weight (w/w) and the annual export volume exceeds 1 ton, ECHA must be notified.
According to the Waste Framework Directive (WFD), starting from January 5, 2021, companies supplying substances of high concern with concentrations above 0.1% by weight (w/w) on the candidate list in the EU market must submit information about these substances to the ECHA database, namely SCIP (Substances of Concern In articles as such or in complex objects (Products) )Notification. The SCIP report does not require an annual export volume greater than 1 ton.
The SVHC list is generally updated twice a year - once at the beginning of the year and once in the middle of the year. The SVHC list contains an increasing number of substances - currently, there are 235 official substances. Currently, enterprises are facing increasing and stricter control measures. It is recommended that companies exporting products to Europe conduct supply chain inspections and supervision to reduce their own risks and make them more competitive in the market.
