The "Convention" lists the first batch of 12 types of persistent organic pollutants in the lists of Annex A (elimination category), Annex B (restriction category) and Annex C (unintentional generation category), and proposes control such as phase-out, restriction or emission restriction respectively. In addition, the addition of chemical substances that have been reviewed by the Persistent Organic Pollutants Review Committee and considered and decided by the Conference of the Parties to be listed in the annexes of the Convention is permitted. Up to now, the number of chemical substances listed in the annex to the Convention has increased to 30 categories.

The 18th meeting of the Convention's Persistent Organic Pollutants Review Committee, which will be held in September 2022, will carry out a review of Clone, Ultraviolet Absorber (UV-328).
